After the treatment, the orchid should be left to rest in a cool place for a full day.
To encourage regeneration, it is helpful to set up a simple but effective structure:
- Place a cotton pad in the cap of a plastic cup.
- Insert this structure into a larger container and lay the orchid leaf on top of it.
- Fill the larger container with water until it reaches the cotton pad.
In this way, the necessary moisture for the development of the root system will be gradually transmitted to the leaf.
It is important to mist the leaves with a spray bottle every 4 days and check the water level in the container. After less than a month, the first roots will be noticeable, and within 40–45 days, the plant will be ready to be repotted into a new container, having established a healthy and vigorous root system.
An orchid that seemed destined to die, with a little care and patience, returned to life. A small green miracle that shows how nature can surprise us, if only we give it a second chance.
